I am so proud of my parents. I like to brag about them, because they are ridiculously humble.
For the past few years, my parents have packed bags full of medical supplies + traveled to a small, rural clinic in Tanzania. They take a team of medical personnel with them as they perform surgeries + routine check ups for the community, clinic + local orphanages. They rarely have hot water + my dad shaved his head this year for the trip. [Another story for another time .... but I had to say it, since my mom, well, let's just say she didn't love the haircut.] I love that they have developed such a bond + friendship with the staff there. They are a constant that the clinic + staff + community can rely on.
Every year I worry a little when they leave. I worry that something will go wrong. + sometimes I just worry that my dad will commit the next ten years of his life over there! Just kidding. :o] I would be so proud of them if they did that! I would just have to take on another job to save up money to go visit them!
I just wanted to direct you over to their blog – it was updated by the various team members + their translators from Tanzania. I love reading about everything they do each year + their life changing experiences that they bring back to their lives in Wisconsin.
I know…. I’ve been cheating a bit + telling y’all to go read elsewhere, but I’m here. Just a little swamped + overwhelmed. Not going anywhere though: promise!
+ because Harlow is just too darn cute + posts with photos are more fun. :o]
just going potty.
Showing off her new shirt from her future mother-in-law.
Obsessed with brushing her new pearly whites!
