the blowout

 For my birthday, I treated myself to a blowout.  To clarify once again: my hair, not a diaper.

It sounds so silly and yes, it’s more of a date night or fun event occurance–not something I can justify too regularly.  But as cheesy as it sounds, I felt so special and well, fancy.
There is just something about getting your hair all prettied and fancified, while sitting in a chair and chatting with your stylist–can I get an amen?

I really didn’t know what a blowout appointment would entail–I truly had no idea what these blowout appointments were consisting of.  But heading home post scalp massage, peppermint shampoo,  hair drying, curling and styling?
To me? For our birthday date night? It was a wonderful gift.

A few friends encouraged me to take the plunge–I am so happy they did.

I had my sweet friend take a few before and after shot.

I decided on Izzazu for my appointment, and absolutely loved my random stylist, Meg.
Related?  I would like her to be my friend.  And if you’re in the Pittsburgh area, you should go become her friend too.  Not that she needs any, she’s just that awesome.
