and it’s not even 10am.
That deserves a pat on the back. Seriously.
Let me set the stage:
Our sweet daughter, Harlow, is nearing temper tantrum stage a bit earlier than desired. She’s also doing some nap transitioning: we are all overly tired at this point. I will update y’all soon, as I know you’re dying to know how we’re faring.
She decided to begin her day about 6:15am, which, of course meant that we all did! We made our way downstairs + while daddy and Harlow ate breakfast, mama sat on the couch + pumped. [more on that soon, too.]
We were out the door at 7:30am for a car appointment. blah. One tire seemed to have a slow leak, so baby girl + I grabbed some toys and books [and coffee!] and made our way.
8am arrival. 8:15am departure with a patch hole from a nail in the tire. Boo for nails. Yay for quick appointment. Even more yay for a 10 dollar charge.
Even more yay for a tired girl who practically begged to take a nap as soon as we got home.
Then another little cry of delight as I noticed another that had arrived while we were gone! [more on that box soon, too! I promise!]
I went downstairs to grab some boots + heals, stopping in the kitchen to top off my *cough-ahem* 3rd? or was it 4th *cough cough* cup of coffee. Did I mention it was about 8:45am? #SorryNotSorry I love my coffee.
I looked in the mirror + considered a shower, but a fake one, consisting of dry shampoo, won out. I wanted to try on some clothes, y’all! So ignore the bangs this morning, they’re a little wonky from a haircut [seriously, seriously need to find someone I can trust with these bangs-o-mine] + a headband all evening, night + morning!
On to my fix!! I’d like to explain again just what is!
A few “what is isn’t” first:
- It’s not a sewing company
- It’s not a design-your-own-clothes company
is well, I just think they’re awesome! But they tend to describe themselves best: [photo from StitchFix.com]
And if you sign up to be on their waiting list, please let me know! I’d love to see how they style you!
So, I have to say, I loved this fix – I knew when I saw all the color, I would find a few items I would love! My last fix I didn’t share with y’all – I had a bit of a ‘tude and didn’t like any of the items. I ended up keeping one top – and Brittany? {<–my wonderful stylist} if you’re reading this: I’m sorry I was a snot! I wear the tunic I kept? ummmm probably 3x a week with leggings. You seem to know me better than I know myself! xoxo
Auto-shop attire. Laundry that can wait. Coffe, piggy bank, candle + Mumford.
Dolly: Harlow brings it into our room each morning. // All of my StitchFix-trying-on-accessories. // IKEA bed frame: best steal ever. // Hunter Boots from the KIDS DEPARTMENT! Wonderful PSA from Raechel. // Wedges I bought eons ago + still adore.
Room is ready. Toddler is napping. Mumford + Sons is filling the room with melodies. Ready? Ready.
I thought I was going to hate this shirt, but I sort of love it.
green skinnies too much?
It’s a tank…and we’re coming out of tanktop weather, so I’m a bit torn.
Win? Fail? Meh? I need y’all’s help.
Okay! This next top makes me giggle. Because this girl got it. + this girl got it. So as soon as I opened my StitchFix box + saw it on top of the pile, I texted Raechel with a photo! I had all intention of sending it back, because I felt like it wasn’t new + exciting anymore.
But then I sort of swooned when I added my magic, orange belt from J. Crew.
Ugh. What do I do!?
Meh. Sending this back. Right choice? I have enough frump in my closet, I don’t need anymore. Even if it’s cute frump!
Okay! So this fix was the first one that I’d received jewelry in! I wanted to love this necklace, but in the end, I think it’s going back. Here is is clasped as tight as it’ll go….
…it’s just a little too draped-in-the-barely-there-cleavage for me.
Here it is, as I pulled it back, so it would fit tighter.
Don’t you think that works better? Oh well. Can’t win them all, just wish it could fit like the above.
Oh, but do you see the red shirt that I’m sporting? It’s my WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN shirt!
Want to see more!? Yes? No? Well, I’m showing you, because it’s my blog + I love this shirt!
I’m kind of thinking I need more red in my closet, + yes it was a bit low. [I was too lazy to grab a camisole or something to wear under it, y’all still love me, right? ;o)]
Okay. While I feel like one-hot-mama wearing this top with my pencil skirt [that is collecting dust in a spare closet…], I was happy that my go-to grey skirt + Frye boots combo was a win as well!
So what do you think? What do I keep? What do I send back?
Want to see my other Fixes?

Love y’all! Happy Friday!!
LOVE the red shirt.
Keep that arrow shirt. KEEP IT. It looks perfection on you.
the tank with the black shirt underneath is perfect!! please keep it!! really I think every item is worthy of keeping (I would have to see the necklace with a higher collar-but that is just me:) ) I feel like every single piece you will love having at some point-or maybe that is just me wishing I had your fix!! love it all-love your look!! nicely done hot mama!! (could you send me prices again??)
I think this is my favorite fix yet! Love everything but the sweater and necklace. Love the 1st shirt layered. I wouldn’t have thought to do that and it looks fab for Fall! The arrow shirt is so great with the orange belt. Definitely keep that! annnd…. the color of the last one is a great color on you!
: * Love your stitch fix posts lady!
First, thanks for introducing me to Stitch Fix! I’m waiting until I’m not pregnant to try it out!!
The first shirt, I didn’t really like until I saw the layered look! I love it! The red shirt is pretty low but super cute!!
I signed up for stitchfix but still haven’t heard back from them-guess I’m still on the waiting list ;)
I say keep everything but the sweater and the necklace – that first tank is GORG and you can totally layer it!
Everything is so darling! I think it helps that every single thing looks amazing on you. :) I love a big comfy sweater but I get it that you feel frump in it. I am obsessed with that red top and the heart/arrow top!
I think I got on the waiting list a while back, but I don’t even know if they do plus sizes. Prob not! I’ll live vicariously through you. :)
The arrow shirt with the belt is to perfect!! Love it!
Well. You saw my shirt the other night, and now should more clearly understand why I’m pretty unqualified for fashion advice….but I mostly just wanted to say that you are ridiculously cute. And also, I actually like that first tank top layered better than alone.
I signed up a couple months back & still haven’t heard back from them. Boo.
I wish we could see that necklace with your face. Because it actually looks like a very you style! And I like that red top. And that pencil skirt needs to see some more action! who said you can’t wear pencil skirts to the playground?
I love those first two tops! I need to request tops in my next fix!
Not a huge fan of the tank….its not bad but not great. Love the red and also love the blouse with the orange belt. So cute Kacia. But seriously, that red shade on you is so flattering……you need to find a dress in this color. Hot!
I have been wanting to try StitchFix for a while now! It seems like such a fun concept :) and who doesn’t prefer getting clothes delivered so you can try them on at home?! I love the top with the arrows!
oh man I am really no expert but you asked! that first top. winner. layered? even better. second top? super cute. with the orange belt magic? fab. sweater? so so cute. I didn't think "frump".. if by frump you meant, chunky, comfy sweater. yes. but you dressed it up enough to get rid of any frump factor. red shirt? cute. it came in third for me but not because its not great. it hits your hips at the perfect spot. and yea. it works with the leggings and rain boots too! you are TOO cute :)
I’ve been hearing a LOT about stitchfix lately! Definitely considering signing up for it. You look great in all of it, how hard would it be to pick what to keep?! That arrow shirt is to DIE for. What store does it come from, or does StitchFix have original clothing? It’s a must have!
I love all three blouses you got! I think the first goes really well with your green skinnies, and I love how you layered it for fall! The second with your orange belt is super cute. And the red one is so versatile!
The top with the different coloured hearts/arrows (which you put the yellow belt on) Any idea where that is from?
Hey Trista!! It’s from “Everly” – definitely one of my new favorite designers! I’ve only received it from StitchFix and noticed it once in a small boutique! Kind of hard to find, but a GREAT price point!
Thank you :) I wish I could sign up for stitch fix, but I live in Canada and they do not ship here :(
