I’m over at LoveFeast Table today sharing one of my absolute favorite Christmas cookie recipes.
Strike that.

These cookies are so much more than holiday cookies: they are awesome all year long.
I promise.

I’m not a big sweets person. I’m just more of a salt-snack girl.
But.
Yes, there is a but…
I will always make cookies with my family. Because for me?
Making them together is the most important part…

Thanks so much for posting this! I loved your mom’s baking and especially remember her getting this cookie out of the freezer as a special treat for us. So happy for you and your daughter that the two of you have that special bond like your mom did with you.
So fun to hear from you, Sarah!!!
Aren’t they the BEST right out of the freezer!?
xoxo
I agree, the best part is making them together! :)
I would love the silk red journal.
i’m definitely adding these cookies to our baking list – they look delicious! as for the cover? i’d love the pewter crosshatch! thanks for sharing these little snippets of your life; i love reading along!
These are SO pretty!
I love the pewter crosshash cover!
They truly are one of the best cookies ever—I remember making mountains of them with Mom (your Gramma H!). It’s amazing how sweet Harlow can make a beautiful picture of anything even that much cuter & sweeter… Linen would be my choice. :)
Crosshash pewter or linen. They are both great!
And seriously, Kacia…your hair. Fabulous.
I’m just about to do some christmas cookie baking I will have to try these out…thanks for sharing the recipe!
I cannot wait to try these out! My kids are going to love making them with me!!! Thanks for the recipe.
I love the pewter crosshatch :) and these cookies look delish!
O.k., after giving serious thought about this I am between Pewter Crosshash and the Red one. The color red is more of a food color – many food establishments use the color red and other warm colors to increase your appetite. I also love the Pewter cover because it’s more neutral.
Either one would be lovely!

from one salt-snack girl to another, Christmas might do me in with sweets. I add salt crystals to the tops of all my cookies when backing, just to keep the balance right.
i’d love to win the pear one for a friend. :)

as for the fab cookbook, i love the pewter crosshatch.
Those sound awesome! The linen finish is lovely!
I’m torn between Pewter Crosshatch and Silk Red. SOOOOOOO pretty.
A giveaway combining my 2 favorite things! Recipes and a journal!? Yes, please! Headed over now to check them out.
The natural linen is definitely my favorite!
So cute! I bet you could swap out the colors on those cookies for other holidays. Or Tuesdays… whatever :) I love the pewter crosshatch, so simple but classy!
My favorite part of the holidays growing up was making cookies with my mom, grandma, and my sister. It’s a tradition I hope to pass down!!
I love love love the pear one!
I soooo need one of these! Love the pewter!
Sweets are one of my weaknesses but I rarely make any because hardly anything I make turns out the way I want it to, ha. But I’m thinking I might have to give these a try they look very tasty!
Yes!! They are SO good!! for anytime of year!
