One thing I love about blogging is that it usually holds me accountable in the “document family memories and milestones” category. And sometimes? I just fail miserably. Birthdays, anniversaries and outings are fully documented in photos….waiting to be organized and sorted.
Right now? They reside in folders titled something like “July 13 Phone dump” or “March-May Photos to sort.” And well, they still need to be sorted.
So I might work backwards a little bit, but I’m afraid trying to move forward and go back might cause too much stress. It doesn’t work well while walking or really doing anything for that matter, so I think I’ll apply it here as well. (However I will give myself some leeway– like today.)
About a month ago, we drove up to New Hampshire to visit some of Andy’s extended family and spend time with his immediate family. We had such a great time: feeling refreshed and exhausted at the end of each day.
These photos definitely don’t capture everything we were able to do while we were there. Not only am I not the best “let’s take out the camera and document this moment,” I’m also realizing more and more that until an expandable DSLR is created, I’ll be relying on my iPhone for most of my photos.
But thankfully a few memories were captured on camera as well. Like? Ice Cream.
You’ll quickly notice that Harlow is trying a different ice cream in just about every photo… She likes sharing. :)
Hair! Curls!!
Harlow’s fun Cousin, Olivia!
More ice cream, of course, and bows from Caroline G. Shop. <– They are the best!
Catching up on the local news.
We loved exploring the Natural Science Center!
Catching up on some Tree House Masters with Pop Pop during a rainy afternoon.
More ice cream. New color, of course.
Andy’s sis, Karen, and her husband, Brian.
Having fun at FUN SPOT!
Working on her skeeball form.

Pretty Olivia!
Fun on the bumper cars with mommy and MeMa.
That saying is true, she truly is my heart walking around outside of my body.
xo.
Such a beautiful story, Kacia. Thanks for sharing more about your vacation…and you are right, your daughter is a beautiful reflection of you. You are beautiful!
Thank you, Katherine! Praying she continues looking more like our heavenly Father each day! xoxo!
We are big fans of new england, especially for their ice cream! Looks like Harlow already figured that out. Fun to see a bit of your family in action.
It was SO GOOD!!!!! we need to meet up soon!
Loved looking at these!
excited to see you guys!! so soon!
Love this. I love that there are no rules and we can work backwards to make sure the story we want to tell is on there. The pictures are beautiful and it looks like you had a beautiful trip.
So true. I’m not sure why I sometimes create rules for myself…just adds unnecessary stress! :( xoxox! love you!
We find ourselves taking 20 DSLR photos and 20K iPhone photos…it is just so much more convenient. Of course, I’m hoarding 2200 of them on my phone still :D. I LOVE the polka-dot hair bows!
I know!!! I take them all on my phone…until I”m frantically deleting photos to make space for more!!!!
