I’m so excited to share another quick project I put together using the Brother™ ScanNCut. I am terrible at throwing scraps away — I always start thinking of what I could make with them… how I could put them to good use… how wasteful it would be to just toss them! And then they sit–and sometimes pile up!
So as I was creating tutorials and working with my machine, I realized just how perfect it was for using up my scraps! One of my favorite features is the background scan ability. I can take whatever scraps I want to use, place them on my cutting mat, scan the mat, and I will see exactly where to place my shapes, so that they cut exactly where I need them. Pretty nifty, eh?
I’m still feeling a bit nervy sharing these videos — ack! Here it goes!
xo.
Love this! I hate the idea of wasting fabric so I tend to hoard scraps – but I never have anything to do with them.
(And the video was great!)
I know, right!?!? Andy always asks, “What is this!?” to which I reply, “I don’t know. a Scrap of this or that…i”m going to figure out something to do with it – I promise!!”
ack!!
xoxo!
I was seriously just going to ask you how you cut leather with your cutter! It’s like you read my mind! Is the mat just really really sticky to hold it down well?
yes! it has a fabric support sheet you can use – but I found just the standard mat worked great at keeping the leather in place!!
So, so cute!!
Hi Kacia,
Where do you buy your leather?
Thanks!
I all the time used to read post in news papers but
now as I am a user of internet therefore from now I am using net for articles, thanks to web.
I rarely create remarks, however i did some searching and wound up here how to make a leather flower
// tutorial!. And I do have 2 questions for you if you
usually do not mind. Is it just me or does it appear like some of the comments
come across as if they are written by brain dead folks?
:-P And, if you are posting at additional sites, I would like to
follow anything new you have to post. Could you make a list of all of all your
communal pages like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?
