I’ve been meaning to write this post for about a year.  Yes, a year…okay, maybe even longer than that?  Back when everything was BB creams, CC creams, and creams to cover the entire alphabet, my lazy-self needed something for every day wear and Dr. Jart’s BB Creams had awesome reviews.

The only problem was, I couldn’t decide which of the 4 Dr. Jart BB Creams to try.  I went ahead and bought the trial pack (which is great for traveling, by the way), so that I could share my thoughts on each cream with you.

This post might be the dumbest post I’ve ever written, but just in case there is one other person out there looking at these BB Creams and having a hard time deciding, I’m going to explain my take on each of them for you.

Dr. Jart Renewalist (red tube)

This kind was my least favorite of the bunch.  Ironically, I can’t even find it listed at Sephora anymore, so perhaps I wasn’t the only one who hated it.  It went on really thick and took forever to rub in.  It also seemed to suck all the life and color out of my face.  Bleh.

 (black tube)

This BB Cream also went on thick, but settled on my face much better than the Renewalist.  It had decent coverage, but only has an SPF of 25, which is lower than I would like.

 (mint tube)

I love this stuff!  While it still has a lower SPF than I prefer (25), I used this as more of my “staying around the house every day” BB cream of choice.  I don’t quite know how to describe the way it has water in it, but it rubs in so much easier than the others and I love the way it makes my skin look and feel.  This tube was the first emptied, and I definitely will be purchasing a full size tube.

 (gold tube)

This version is in the top spot for a few reasons: SPF and coverage.  This Premium stuff goes on more like the Water Fuse but with a bit more coverage.  It also doesn’t leave me looking lifeless, like the Renewalist.  I love that it has an SPF of 45, and I wore this all summer long — and even now in the winter if I know I’ll be outside.  If I had to choose Premium or Water Fuse, I would pick Premium for sure.

And there is my definitely-not-a-beauty-blogger-take-on-these-BB-Creams review.  But in all seriousness, I was so annoyed by the descriptions and trying to decipher what the heck “Black Label” meant.  So, hopefully my thoughts on them were a little more clear.

Probably not.

(ask me any questions you have, and I will try to explain more clearly!)
