You don’t have to be around long to know that I adore . Love’m. Like’m. Can’t get enough of’m.
I’ve loved receiving post-baby, pre-baby, growing-baby and now post-baby again! When I was pregnant with Jones, there weren’t maternity clothes available, but I still received some of my most favorite Fixes to date!
But life with baby bumps and Fixes just got a million times better! Mmmm yup. Stitch Fix now offers maternity clothes! It’s true! It’s true!
I actually got to try out one of their first maternity dresses back in September when I was about 3 weeks out from Jones’s arrival. It was great those last weeks and since it’s super nursing-friendly, I still get use out of it now.
These were two of my favorites from one I received while pregnant with Jones! You can see my first bump-fix here — and my second one here.
In addition to maternity, also just released their new availability for petites! Don’t get this confused by circumference — it’s not XS, it’s defined by shorter inseams, shorter arms and narrower shoulders. I’m tempted to try out a few petites pieces given how narrow my shoulders are — I shall report back!
If you are new to and want to give it a shot, you can sign up ! If you’ve already tried Stitch Fix but are expecting or would benefit from the petites pieces, be sure to let your stylist know in your Fix notes! Make sure to log in and update your profile to reflect your due date and/or petite sizing!
Have fun! I’m excited to see these maternity and petite Fixes!
I proudly wear my Maman Poule title — and this ridiculously comfortable sweatshirt — on the regular. I really can’t get enough of it.
Nor have I ended my campaign to make Maman Poule a used phrase and title here in the US. ;)
I also cannot get enough of Jonesy’s sweet giggles — no one makes him laugh harder than his sister! And she will do just about anything to get smiles and laughs out of him.
Happy Friday!

sweatshirt c/o emoi-emoi. my obsession and love for it? ALL. ME.
I’m on a mission to find nursing-friendly apparel for the fall and winter months. As I mentioned last week, this nursing with so many layers thing is so new to me!
And as someone who is chronically cold…. I need layers and things to keep me warm. Sometimes I’m all about the “made for nursing” gear — like this sweatshirt or this shawl — but I also like finding regular ‘ole items that allow for either the ease of nursing or double as a cover.
This cardigan does just that. It’s soft and drapey (I’m not sure that’s a real word…it drapes really well? ha) and perfect with leggings or jeans or a pair of yoga pants around the house. It’s even the perfect layer to wear over a wrap/sling/baby carrier! It’s not overly heavy or hot, but perfect to give you a little extra coverage. The long front panels are perfect to use as a little nursing cover, while still keeping the cardigan on and staying warm.
Winnity win win win!
How about you? Where are your favorite legit-nursing-top places to shop? And where are your fake-nursing-top places to shop? I want to hear’m!
When Jones was born, it had been a while since I’d had a nursing baby — and the first time having a newborn into the cooler weather. I honestly wasn’t expecting to be as “stuck” feeling as I was when the weather took a turn and got coooooold. I needed clothes that actually kept me warm (I am always cold), but also allowed for easy-access — I don’t think I need to explain any further. :)
I found out about Seraphine, and I absolutely love their nursing designs. I love that the designer, Cecile Reinaud, is also a mom, and her goal in creating these pieces was stylish design paired with comfort and durability. This nursing shawl is a lifesaver. It’s incredibly soft and can also be worn as a scarf. It’s so cute with leggings and boots as well.
I have a few other favorites as well: this top (softest material ever), stripes, and the shoulder detail. This sweater would be the most perfect traveling top!
I love that so many of these designs can be worn beyond nursing — be sure to check out Seraphine maternity as well!
I realized I never finished my little bump photo series….Jones jumped the gun! When I was pregnant with Harlow, we attempted the weekly-stand-against-the-same-wall-and-take-a-profile-bump-photo thing….but it ended up being our weekly argument time. Ha. I was traveling every week for work until I was about 6.5 months pregnant, so it was crammed into a weekend…when typically I just wanted to lounge around sans make-up or clean hair.
In other words: I never really wanted my photo taken.
I had so much fun documenting my growing bump this time around! It has been so fun looking back at the moments that defined each week — weather changing, toes becoming hidden, Harlow starting school. I’m so happy that I accidentally fell into a weekly documentation in this way….because I honestly kept forgetting which week I was at, so these photos helped me remember. ;)
I still can’t believe just weeks ago I was sporting a bump and now Jonesy is here. Beyond thankful and still totally smitten.
I’m back with the bump to share one of my favorites: Lily Jade Designer Diaper bags! Or as I like to call them, life bags. These bags are way more than diaper bags, because they transition seamlessly for all of your bag-needs.
If you aren’t familiar with Lily Jade, they have a beautiful selection of leather, canvas and synthetic leather bags — each of their bags comes with their signature (and genius!) “Baby Bag.”
This Baby Bag allows you to clearly organize your diaper bag, using all of it’s compartments and pockets. And then it can be removed easily to transform your bag into whatever you need it to be: day bag, computer bag, book bag, overnight bag.
I love that the Elizabeth can be worn in so many ways — as a backpack, messenger bag, over the arm as a handbag. (I cannot tell you how handy the backpack is when carrying a newborn and holding a 3 year old’s hand!)
